CKC Properties secured planning consent for a 109 bed student accommodation scheme at the Durham Light Infantry Public House on 110 Gilesgate in April 2015.

The scheme, named as St Giles Studios, is set within a gated development offering students a Club Room, Workspace and Private Dining Room, as well as a terrace and secure parking for up to 15 cars.

TH Real Estate are forward funding the scheme and CKC Properties are managing the design and build and are currently on site with completion due for the 2016 academic year.

St Giles Studios is located eight minutes walk from St Hild and St Bede colleges and aims to provide a social living space with a contemporary workspace, lounge and dining for students to interact both with study, cooking with friends or just relaxing.
